Care Connect is committed to environmental sustainability. To that end we are collectively working to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Care Connect’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability is evidenced in our Strategic Plan 2010-15.

In 2008 we established the ‘Green Team’ to:

• facilitate internal communication regarding sustainable behaviour
• identify ways the organisation can reduce its carbon footprint
• develop action plans that result in a consistency of practice develop the organisation’s Environmental Action Plan.

The Green Team meets every six weeks with most sites participating by video-conference. Group members research energy efficiency, waste and recycling, purchasing of equipment, water consumption, transport/ travel and how our organisation can perform better each year.
