Mental health services
Care Connect has a commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of all people it serves and those that support them in recovery. We currently deliver the Mental Health Respite Initiative funded by the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) as part of the Targeted Community Care Mental Health Initiative.
Care Connect is competent and experienced in working with people with mental health issues across a broad range of clients, especially those with complex needs. Our services adhere to and are mapped against the National Standards for Mental Health Services by the Australian Government and take a recovery-focussed approach to care.
Care Connect has adapted a new person-centred service model which is evidence-based, promoting capacity building and restorative care to ensure that services are built around the needs of people rather than the service provider.
Care Connect also ensures that people living with mental health difficulties and their families or support networks can influence service delivery methods via a dedicated consumer engagement coordinator who facilitates Care Connect’s ‘Consumer Voice Committee’.
