Overview of the Early Intervention Continence Project

The Early Intervention Continence Project (EICP) is targeted at parents/carers of children with a disability under the age of five who are interested in learning more about toilet training.

A series of one-off education sessions to be held across the Eastern Metropolitan Region during 2007 will focus on how to ascertain if children are ready to be toilet trained, the specific steps involved in this process and/or the use of continence products to assist.

Each session will be lead by a qualified Continence Advisor and will aim to address commonly asked questions. For those parents/carers waiting more individualized support, there is the possibility of a 1:1 assessment being funded by Care Connect.
