VIC state-wide snap lockdown 16.7.21-20.7.21; SE QLD mask-wearing extension; NSW lockdown extended until 30 July + COVID testing requirements for care providers in Fairfield and Greater Sydney areas.
Please read and comply with this Service Protocol update via the ‘Need to Know’ section of this portal, or by clicking here.
Regardless of where you provide in-home care, it’s clear that you must not get complacent about your CovidSafe practices.
Please note that we always advise our clients that if they are in lockdown, isolation or when advised by the authorities, that they wear a mask whilst you are in their home. We also ask our clients to ensure that you are delivering their service whilst following all PPE requirements and request that they implement the screening question process before permitting anybody into their home if they are in lockdown.
As a reminder, here are the screening questions that you and your staff may be asked. A client will only allow you into their home if the answer to all questions is NO:
“Have you or someone else in your home”:
- Been diagnosed with Coronavirus or is suspected of having Coronavirus?
- Had close contact with someone diagnosed with Coronavirus or who is suspected to have Coronavirus in the last 14 days?
- Been to any of the ‘COVID Case Locations’ (as listed on the VIC Department of Health website) during the time and date indicated?
- Been advised by a healthcare professional to undertake mandatory isolation?
Please remain vigilant and up to date with the latest COVID19 news and service delivery requirements at all times.
