Activities may include:

How Care Connect Can Help

We can support eligible Australians through a range of government-funded aged care programs and services, including:

Frequently asked questions

  • It varies. After your ACAT assessment you are placed in a national queue, and wait times depend on your assessed level and where you live. Many people wait several months. If you need help sooner, ask My Aged Care about interim support through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.

  • Yes. Home Care Packages are consumer-directed, so you have a say in who comes into your home. If a worker is not the right fit, you can ask your provider for someone else.

  • Your care plan is reviewed regularly and can be adjusted as your needs change. If your needs increase significantly, you can request a reassessment for a higher package level.

  • Most people contribute something towards their care. There is a basic daily fee, and depending on your income you may be asked to pay an income-tested care fee. Your provider will explain exactly what you would pay before you commit.

  • Care Connect supports people across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Contact us and we can confirm availability in your suburb.
