What are allied health services?
Allied health services are health supports that help you manage everyday tasks, improve your movement, stay safe at home and maintain your wellbeing. These services are delivered by qualified health professionals and are often included in home care when they support your assessed needs. At Care Connect, we make it easier by helping coordinate the right professional for your goals, needs and location.
Allied health services Care Connect can coordinate
We can help coordinate allied health services at home that fit your care plan and daily routine. Depending on your assessed needs, this may include:
How is allied health funded?
Under Support at Home, allied health is part of the Clinical Care category. This means services are fully funded by the government and come from your Support at Home budget when they are included in your care plan. This means you don’t need to pay a personal contribution for these services.
Some allied health support may also be available through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), depending on your region and approved services. If you are unsure what you can access, our team can explain your options in plain language.
