A well-maintained home is one you can continue to live in safely.

Care Connect arranges home care maintenance services for older Australians. We deliver home care maintenance and handyman services throughout metro Melbourne, Sydney, Illawarra, regional Victoria, Gold Cost and Brisbane with reliable local tradespeople, coordinated and funded through your Support at Home plan.

What home care maintenance services does Care Connect arrange?

There are two ways we provide your home maintenance. Minor jobs can often be handled by your gardening support worker during a scheduled visit. Larger or more skilled work is arranged through a vetted local handyman. Either way, some examples of how we can help include:

      • Light gardening including lawn mowing, pruning and clearing the yard to make sure access is safe
      • Changing light bulbs and replacing smoke alarm batteries
      • Tightening loose fittings, handles and fixtures
      • Minor timber repairs and patching
      • Installing or checking grab rails and handrails
      • Clearing gutters and downpipes
      • Repairing or adjusting doors, windows and locks
      • Minor plumbing repairs such as dripping taps

You can rest assured that our team will organise what needs to be done for you.

How are home maintenance services funded?

Aged care home maintenance services can be funded through Support at Home. You will be able to access these services if they are included in your care plan as an assessed need. Your care plan is developed with your Care Manager.

Maintenance is also available to eligible clients through the Commonwealth Home Support Program. Not sure what’s covered? Our team can talk you through it at no cost or obligation.
