- Does my provider give me real choice when it comes to services?
- Does my provider genuinely care about me?
If the answer is ‘no’ or ‘don’t know’ here are some questions you can ask your provider to ensure you are receiving the best value for your Home Care Package:
- What percentage of my Home Care Package budget is spent on services you deliver? (If your service provider is providing more than 80-90% of your services you might not be receiving genuine choice or value).
- Do you provide an excellent Care Plan? Is the Care Plan free? (If the answer is yes then how does your service provider ensure the advice is independent?)
- Do you have excellent knowledge of my local community and the services that are available?
- Do you have expert knowledge of the home care system?
- Can you direct me to services quickly?
