We appreciate the extra challenges you’ve been facing and the sacrifices that you’ve made over the past few months, and commend the community’s collective will and determination to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please rest assured that across the nation, we are doing our part and working collaboratively with the government and health authorities, to deliver the most COVIDSafe care experience possible.
Even in this time of Coronavirus, the onset of summer always feels like an energising time of the year. But it will be a very different summer for Australians this year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly changed how we live, work and learn and it will most likely be years before we understand the full extent of the global impact. The ‘new normal’, coupled with the guidance around physical distancing, also makes this a trying time for you and the teams that provide your care. While no one knows how long restrictions will continue to come and go, for now, I want to let you know that your care and safety remains our top priority.
As we prepare for summer and the festive season, we are also preparing for extreme weather conditions and emergencies, but, with our collective grit and detrmination, we will get through these tough times, together.
I cannot comprehend that it’s nearly time to say goodbye to 2020. This year has certainly thrown up some challenges, and it will be a year that we won’t forget in a hurry. But from challenge comes opportunity, and Care Connect will be with you every step of the way as we embark on the journey of recovery together.
Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, safe and happy summer and holiday season.
Stay safe, stay well, stay connected.
