State of Disaster declared in Victoria, curfew introduced. NSW Premier ‘strongly recommends’ mask wearing.

A State of Disaster and Stage FOUR restrictions in Melbourne have been declared by Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews today.

Strict new stage four lockdown in Melbourne includes 8pm to 5am curfew (effective today), and no travel more than 5km from home suburb. Severe penalties in place for anyone not following these restrictions.

The Mitchell Shire will now join Regional Victoria on stage 3 restrictions.

Further details to be issued by the Victorian government tomorrow.

NSW premier issues ‘strong recommendations’ around wearing masks when in public where it is difficult to social distance.

Some states plan slow start of lifting restrictions
