HOME CARE WORKERS PRIORITISED FOR COVID VACCINE

In a recent update from LASA, it has been confirmed that Home Care workers and Home Care clients are now a priority for COVID vaccinations.

“Department of Health information for home care worker vaccination: LASA has been advocating strongly since the introduction of the vaccination program that home care staff and clients should be prioritised.

The Department has prepared a letter which provides proof of employment as evidence of eligibility to be vaccinated as a priority Phase 1b group and a factsheet to support workers In-home and community workers aged under 60 will be offered the Pfizer vaccine and all workers aged over 60 the AstraZeneca vaccine.”

All Providers are encouraged to provide letters to their staff to ensure that they are given priority for a COVID vaccination.
